Dear diary

Flowers have started growing at the back of my garden. I would pick them but they are so close to the border, I don't know if they are wild or not.
I might just buy some like everyone else. And a vase. Do I have a vase? I know I don't have the flowers. If I buy flowers they will need a vase.

I went searching for treasure today! And I brought home a magnificent haul! 2 gold plates, which weren't actually made of gold but they were definitely plates. And 3 shiny goblets. Shiny glass goblets that is. OK maybe they weren't that shiny at all. Also I found a jewellery box. Well, a music box. OK, an old phonograph. It was an album, I bought an album.

It was treasure though. To me.

Dear diary

I nearly forgot to do this today. I'm in bed as I write this with not a lot to say. I enjoyed a lot of free music online, talked to a few trees, ate tons of pistachio nuts and got soaked on the way back home from the library.

I love it when people don't have a lot to do but somehow end up doing more.

Does that make sense? I'm way too tired to care.

What ever happened to westerns? You know those movies with the guy from Gran Torino that have very little dialogue and the music involves whistles and bells? They used to be all the rage. Maybe that Will Smith one killed the genre?
I never liked them anyway.

Is it me, or has it gotten really cold all of a sudden? I've just been getting used to the weather being warmer than before but right now I feel absolutely freezing! I feel like I'm trapped in a giant ice cube. You know, like in Demolition Man.
Oh wait, I've just remembered I left the freezer open to cool myself off. Never mind.

I had a blueberry cheesecake today. I don't know which cake is my absolute favourite, but this might just be one of my top 5. It wasn't very large, so I was able to finish the entire thing without feeling guilty!
Cheese, cake, cheesecake, what's not to love?

Dear diary

I think it is important that I make this clear. Even though I have a fear of water, I do take showers daily. I don't want to make it sound like I'm a dirty slob like my brother, who I am pretty sure doesn't know how to use a bar of soap. It's weird though, how I hate going for a swim but I can happily get into a bath or have a shower without any dumb setbacks. I suppose I know that the water is going down the drain. It's not like I'm going to develop a fear that I get pulled under and end up in the sewers. OK, now I am a little afraid of that.
My brother smells.

My brother visited me today. I don't know how we could possibly be related! He thinks that fart jokes are funny. OK, I suppose I do too but I never tell them. I don't want people to think I'm a nutter like him. I hope this will be the last of his visits for some time. And that he stops smelling of Red Bull.

Turtles are great aren't they? If I were a turtle, I would have no need to be afraid of the ocean. Also I'd be really cute.
I'm going to try and go swimming with some friends of mine. Hopefully they can help me deal with my phobia. Either that or they'll take a picture of me standing next to that giant fibreglass fish by the main entrance of the pool.

I'm getting back into vinyl. Not that I really listened to these things at all previously. I must find something I can play them on.
My taste in music has become very sophisticated. Classical music is lovely. I enjoy that beautiful waltz number you often hear in movies about circuses. You know, when the trapeze artists perform. I think it's called, "When I see an elephant fly".

I've just realised how helpful post-it notes are! No more leaving things for another day to the point where it gets forgotten. I've been extremely productive. Well, that's a lie but I certainly feel more organised. I think I'll pick up some more pads on my way home. Maybe one of those multi-coloured packs so I can make my display cabinet look pretty.

Today I went to a pick-your-own farm and spent some time in the sun plucking tasty strawberries and gathering them together in my little basket. I love strawberries. The farmer didn't seem too pleased. The more I think about it, there weren't any other attendants at this pick-your-own farm...

I feel like the bad bunny in me is surfacing. I don't quite know how to say this but the guilt has been driving me mad. Today I went to the supermarket where I bought eggs, milk, carrots, donuts, pizza, cheese, cake, cheesecake and a bag of pretzels.
It was only when I had returned home, that I checked my receipt and made a shocking discovery.
They hadn't charged me for the eggs.

Look! I made a gingerbread cookie that looks just like me! It took a lot of hard work to make it look just right! I have big eyes so it was hard to form them on the cookie without completely distorting it. Also, I didn't want this tasty miniature me to turn out pudgy so I had to work out how narrow it would have to be before it went in the oven. Yum!
What shall I do with the rest of the dough? I'm out of ideas.

Time for cheese! Yummy yummy delicious cheese. Not in the form of a sandwich. Oh no. Just slip it out of the packet and chow it down old school! Lovely stuff. I don't believe those old wives' tales that it causes nightmares. I never have nightmares. Well, I do sometimes but not from eating cheese. Well, maybe I did have a few dreams about killer tortoises but it wasn't related to my cheese consumption. I should know cause I eat cheese a lot and most of my dreams are decent. If a little boring.

I've been on my feet all day, never once getting the chance to relax and it has been absolutely crazy. Days like this make life very taxing. The biggest problem is working out what I'm going to have for dinner. Pizza. No time to warm up the oven, just dial the number, place an order and hope it arrives 30 minutes late so you don't have to pay. Maybe I'll spend tomorrow rushing around so I can gorge on cheesecake at the end of the day.

Why is it that some animals lay their eggs and others keep them inside their bodies? Wouldn't it be cool if rabbits could lay eggs? Imagine me hatching from an egg like a cute little chick. Eggs are like little sleeping bag only rounder and nowhere near as comfortable.

I love frogs. We had a pond not far from the place I grew up in. I used to go searching for those little fellas and play games with them. They can be very playful. I once met a frog who worked at a restaurant. Apparently you can get that kind of job quite easily if you have the right legs.

I'm thinking of becoming a nurse. I'm very good at getting better whenever I am ill. The secret is to have plenty of soup and not to move until you are fully recovered. Being ill can be such a drag. Why do we have to have that? I mean let's face it, an illness is life's way of saying, "Go to bed and feel wretched for 2 weeks".

My favourite dreams are dreams about cake. And you know how much I love carrots so I am really looking forward to the night I go to bed and have a long and blissful dream about carrot cake. It's bound to happen at some point.
I can't remember the last time I dreamt about any kind of cake. If ever. Maybe I need to think about this subject more often?

My mum was always the absolute best. She used to take me to visit Grandma and we would go for walks, drink cocoa and watch The Railway Children. I din't really enjoy any of those things, but I love them both so much, it didn't matter to me what we did.

I'm going to try to have another swim today. My past experiences of swimming have not been excellent. Hopefully I have become used to it by now. I think swimming is the kind of thing every mammal needs to be able to do confidently. I hate water though. Almost as much as heights. That's the worst thing, when you think you're about to fall. And then you do.

What is wrong with my brain? I have not been on form today, I forgot to do my laundry, I didn't brush my teeth and I've just realised I completely forgot about the toast in the toaster so now my breakfast is cold.
Hopefully tomorrow my brain will be working properly. Brains are hard to use. I wish I had a better one. Can brains be transplanted yet? I want a new brain.

My diet is making me long for donuts and I fear it may not last. Remember I said that I would not bother exercising? That doesn't sound like such a bad idea if it means I don't have to live on carrots and air.
Exercising is hard without a gym membership. I do have a gym membership, but I lost the card. I think I'm going to buy one of those fitness DVDs and see if that gets me motivated, or at the very least, give me a good laugh.

I slept in today. I didn't have work until 11am, so I decided to enjoy some extra time in bed. Normally I have to work from 10am. I didn't even know such an hour existed! I wish my job was just to sleep all day. That would be the absolute best. I don't know what I would do during the night though.

I fear I may have put on a little weight recently. You'd think that someone who mostly lives on a diet of vegetables would not have this problem, but my metabolism is very slow. That and I can't stop eating marshmallow donuts.
Starting tomorrow, I'm going on a diet. I would also take up exercise, but I have no time for that now.

I sometimes wish I could walk under things easier. I must be about 2 feet tall now! I was the tallest bunny in my class. My friends used to call me Colossal Claire. I don't know why I'm this size. I think it's because of those carrots. If you want to grow tall, eat carrots. And cheerios, that also works.

I love playing my ukulele. It's one of the prettiest instruments in the world. I find that it adds to my cuteness. It also came with a tuning thing and a pick. I don't tend to use it though, I prefer to just strum away.
For some reason, this uke only seems to have 4 strings. Must do something about that.

Is it true that there are more stars in the sky than there are grains of sand here on earth? Actually, what exactly do they mean when they say, stars in the sky? Stars are all over the universe! The sky is much closer to our planet... I think. So, if this fact applies to every star in the universe, I can believe that no problem.
Stars are overrated.
