PB & J

Earlier this year I created a couple of new OCs named Phoebe and Jane (or as their friends call them, PB & J) There is a good chance that pretty soon I might just stop drawing them as is the case with most of the cartoon characters I have invented, but I think I did a decent job at making them look like a cute couple.

And it turns out I'm not the only one!

I decided to set up a FurAffinity account as a platform for sharing my PB & J artwork. I announced that I would be accepting art trades in the hopes I could expand the gallery with different interpretations of this furry duo. This was only a month ago but my account has already caught the attention of some very talented artists!

The first one I want to spotlight is by DripRat. It started when I got a very exciting shout on my userpage:

And here is what DripRat came up with!

The next one is by LiveGreen. We did an art trade together and they requested I draw their skunk OC Ash, along with their boyfriend's cat OC Berry.
You can find my half over here.
And this is LiveGreen's half of the trade:

Lastly, a YCH picture by LaKellytaUwU When I saw the base image I couldn't resist! So here's what the PB & J edition looks like!

I want to say a really big thank you to all the artists who have drawn my characters! I can't tell you how much this means to me. I have drawn cartoons for a long time and to be honest, I never considered it an easy hobby, so I greatly admire anyone who has talent like this. Thank you all for putting so much effort into these beautiful drawings!

My Blender Journey #1: Mmmm! Donuts!

Years ago, I found out about Blender and thought I'd give it a try. Basically, I really wanted to be an animator and this was a free software so it seemed ideal. I downloaded it, took one look at the program and decided I didn't want to be an animator anymore.
Since then I have heard from hundreds of artists who praise Blender and talk about how user friendly it is and after investing in a new laptop with plenty of RAM and a decent graphics card, I decided to have a look at the Blender Guru tutorials on YouTube.

In level 1 of Blender Guru's class, he teaches you how to make a realistic looking CGI donut. It's a fun challenge because it's all about making the donut look as delicious as possible!

And here's me talking about what I've learned from that course:

Below are some of my own renders. Remember I'm still a beginner and I'm not exactly a well trained artist, it's really just my hobby. I hope Blender will help me get a better understanding of virtual realism and I'm hoping I'll learn a lot more over the next year. My goal is to eventually create a 3D model of one of my OCs!

Big shoutout to Andrew Price for his amazing tutorials. I have already learned so much about Blender thanks to him!
