Animation diary - 20/01/2011

Today was the worst so far. I spent the entire morning finishing off my comic strip which I am happy to say is finished and ready to go live at 00:00 tomorrow. Today, I managed to get into a new sequence for the animatic and have made a start on planning the mouth shapes for the characters featured. I have also rearranged some of the recorded dialogue so that it fits with the new length of the animation.

Animation diary - 19/01/2011

It's happened again! I'm slightly behind schedule, mind you I haven't really worked out a schedule so what I actually mean is I have not committed quite as much work as I would have been satisfied with. It took me a very long time to animate the last two sequences because at this point, my characters need to interact physically with each other. I have worked hard today, but it hasn't got be that far. I have been spending a fair amount of time on my comic strip which is looking very good indeed.

Animation diary - 18/01/2011

I think I may have just about recovered from the lack of progress and am back on track with the project. I have looked at my storyboard and it appears that I will have to animate another 19 pages before I can reach the end of the animatic stage. I imagine that just like everything I have animated before, this is going to take much longer than I had hoped.

Animation diary - 17/01/2011

So far, my biggest problem seems to be time management. This project involves a lot of concentration, but I still need to make time for important tasks in my daily routine. This week I will not only be working on a new animation but also I have my comic strip to be getting on with. Hopefully That will be done before Friday (and I won't forget to post it!)

Animation diary - 15/01/2011

So far I have completed the script, most of the recording, the storyboard and am now working on the animatic for the latest of my cartoons. Myself and Esme will once again feature as voices for some of the characters, it will probably be about six minutes long and will no doubt take a great deal longer to animate. Still, I'm making moderately good progress. I'm hoping my patience won't let me down at all this time around. The biggest obstacle is my devotion to the task. Hope you enjoy it when it's done.
